Dear deMon developers and users,
We are pleased to announce that the 7th deMon workshop will be held on 21-25 Apr 2006 in the Kananaskis country close to Calgary. The workshop is open to all developers and users of the deMon code.
We would like to ask those of you planning to come to register before March 5 at our web site http://www.demon-software.com/calgary-2006 where you can also find more organizational information.
Attendees will be accomodated in the Kananaskis Field Station, University of Calgary ecosystem research facility located at the edge of Canadian Rockies. Due of the location, there are extensive possibilities for hiking and (weather permitting) skiing. The web site of the field station (at http://www.kfs.ucalgary.ca/index.php) gives some further information.
Accomodation is a little spartan, but adequate. The price is about 40 CAD per day, including three meals per day. If you require more comfortable environment, several motels are available in Canmore, about a half an hour drive away. Commuting from (north-west) Calgary should take about an hour.
There is no workshop fee. As a result, our funds are very limited, so that we can only provide travel or accommodation assistance in exceptional cases. If financial assistance would make the difference between being able to come and staying at home, please contact Dennis directly at dennis.salahub@ucalgary.ca.
Please feel free to forward this email to anybody who might be interested.
If you have any questions feel free to contact the organizers at the e-mail or the phone number given at the workshop web page.
Best regards
Serguei Patchkovskii
